DLA to hold Land & Maritime supplier conference June 19-20 in Columbus, Ohio

April 5, 2018 By Andrew Smith

Suppliers should make plans now to join the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) June 19-20, 2018 at the DLA Land and Maritime Supplier Conference & Exposition.  This event provides a forum for current and potential vendors to discuss future logistics support strategies, challenges and to streamline efforts to better support the Warfighter.

As DLA’s business model evolves from a primarily transactional model to one that values long-term relationships, DLA is executing an active industry engagement plan that fosters innovation through research and development.

This year’s conference theme — “Improving Warfighter Readiness by Improving Industry Alliances and Reforming Business Processes” — speaks to the Secretary of Defense’s priorities to military readiness: Building a more lethal force, strengthening alliances, attracting new partners, and bringing business reforms to the Department of Defense.

Registration will open soon! Visit this website — http://www.ndia.org/events/2018/6/19/dla-land-and-maritime-conference — for more information.

Exhibit and sponsorship opportunities are now available.  Be among the first companies to purchase prime exhibit space. You can select your space directly online by visiting https://exhibits.ndia.org/dla2018 and clicking on “Buy A Booth.”  At the previous exhibition, there were  over 90 exhibitors, so act quickly.  To customize a sponsorship package, vendors may contact Allison Carpenter, 703-247-2573, ahcarpenter@ndia.org.

Video instruction offered in June on how to use DLA’s internet bid board

May 31, 2017 By Andrew Smith

The Land & Maritime Office of Small Business Programs of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is hosting two webinars in June to provide instruction to vendors on how to use DLA’s Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS).

DIBBS is a web-based application that enables the vendor community to search for, view, and submit secure quotes on Requests for Quotations (RFQs).  Through DIBBS, users can search for and view Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Invitations for Bid (IFB), awards, and other procurement information.

The webinars are scheduled as follows:

June 6, 2017 – DIBBS: Solicitation – 1:00 – 2:30 PM EST

June 13, 2017 – DIBBS: Quoting – 1:00 – 2:30 PM EST

Interested parties may register for these webinars at https://tko.dla.mil/.    Be sure to select “Land and Maritime” from the dropdown.

If you encounter issues accessing the website, it is recommended that you adjust your browser settings or use a different browser (Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer).  If prompted by a security notice, choose to bypass/accept such issues, as DoD restricted networks are sometimes flagged by other internal servers.

The link to follow the day of the event is: https://connect.apan.org/dla_lm/

For more information about DIBBS, see: http://www.dla.mil/Portals/104/Documents/SmallBusiness/DIBBS%20Pocket%20Guide.pdf.
