Subcontracting opportunities available on Oak Ridge project

Walsh - Archer WesternIf you are a construction industry subcontractor or vendor, and are interested in bid opportunities on the Uranium Processing Facility (UPF), Construction Support Building (CSB) at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN, you should complete the paperwork posted below and email to Karen Macchitelli at kmacchitelli@walshgroup.com or fax to 312-429-0651.  Ms. Macchitelli is the Small Business Liaison with The Walsh Group | Walsh Construction Co  | Archer Western Contractors.

Description of the Project

Construction of a Uranium Processing Facility (UPF) Construction Support Building (CSB).  The UPF CSB facility will constitute a complete three story, weather tight, fully accessible building, not to exceed a building footprint size (120’-0” x 180’-0”) with a minimum gross square footage of 64,800.  Building design and construction shall include but not be limited to the following:  Building foundation & structural systems; architectural components and systems; HVAC systems, plumbing systems, electrical, electronic & telecommunication systems; automatic fire sprinkler protection & detection systems; sustainable design requirements including high performance sustainable buildings (HPSB) and United States Green Building Council (USGBC) Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design (LEED).  The project includes supporting infrastructure and incidental related work.  Note:  The design team is already in place.   Proposals from specialty trade subcontractors are being sought at this time.

Interested bidders are required to complete the ITB form/Confidentiality Agreement, SB Self-Certification and Subcontractor Qualification Questionnaire.  NOTE:  If you have previously completed the Qualification Questionnaire form (for another bid/project) within the past year, please notify Ms. Macchitelli accordingly.  If confirmed, you do not need to complete a new Qualification Questionnaire.  ALL OTHER requested forms, however, must be completed.  Complete and return pre-bid docs ASAP.  Qualified proposals, directed toward your respective estimator contact, are due by 5:00pm CST on January 5, 2016.
