The federal contracting community wants the Obama administration to halt the flow of executive orders focused on reforming the industry.
The move comes almost a week after The New York Times leaked a draft executive order that the president reportedly plans to issue, mandating that companies contracting with the federal government give employees paid sick leave.
Four contracting groups, in a letter sent last week to Chief of Staff Denis McDonough and Assistant to the President for Intergovernmental Affairs and Public Engagement Valarie Jarrett, noted that the White House has issued 12 contractor-focused executive orders since 2009.
