SBA’s Chief Counsel for Advocacy to speak at Dec. 6 TAG forum

December 3, 2012 By ei2admin

Dr. Winslow Sargeant, Chief Counsel for Advocacy with the U.S. Small Business Administration, is scheduled to speak at the Technology Association of Georgia’s Dec. 6, 2012 lunchtime forum.

As a co-founder of Aanetcom, a “fabless” semiconductor integrated circuit design company, Dr. Sargeant is all too familiar with the different rules and regulations small businesses adhere to on a day-to-day basis. Having designed, implemented and sold Aanetcom to PMC-Sierra, a publicly traded company, in March 2000, Dr. Sargeant will speak on and draw from his experiences as an entrepreneur and small business owner.

His discussion will highlight the Office of Advocacy’s mission to reduce burdensome rules and regulations on small businesses and the important role that the federal government plays in supporting small business. The conversation will focus on startup technologies and will also touch on the Advocacy’s new “entrepreneurship/innovation” initiative.

This event will be held in the Hodges Room, 3rd Floor, Centergy Building, 75 – 5th St. NW, Atlanta, GA 30308.

The Dec. 6 program agenda is:

11:30-12:00 Lunch12:00-12:45 Presentation12:45-1:00 Q&A with Audience
